How can I submit my film?

Submit your work via the FilmFreeWay or Festhome platforms.

Make sure that your film is under 50 minutes, completed in the last 4 years, and it has English subtitles if not in English.

Do you have live screenings with audience?

Of course! Each quarterly Film Olympiad Grand Prix showcases at least 12 films in front of a live audience at our partner venues.

For the annual Film Olympiad Superfinal, 60 films or more are presented to enthusiastic crowds, giving filmmakers a unique chance to share their work.

Can I submit more than one film?

Absolutely! You can submit as many films as you like.

For production companies, filmmakers & schools submitting over ten films, we also offer an extra discount.

Film Olympiad is designed to give every filmmaker a real chance to showcase their work and be recognized for it, thanks to its unique competition system.

While we are proud to welcome iconic artists, we are equally proud of amazing films that have won the Gold Medal with budgets close to zero.

When is the submission deadline?

Submissions are open year-round! Even if a deadline has passed, your film will be considered for the next Film Olympiad Grand Prix.

Are there premiere requirements?

No premiere is required. Films are judged on their merit, not their premiere status, so any film completed in the last 4 years is eligible — even if it’s been screened online or elsewhere.

We do, however, kindly acknowledge World, European, or Greek Premieres, giving them the recognition they deserve.

Although your festival's fee is reasonable, I still can't afford it. Can I get a fee waiver?

Film Olympiad is committed to giving every filmmaker a chance, which is why we keep our submission fee low. Considering the multiple services and benefits — including prize money, detailed feedback for ALL films, live screenings, and awards in 30 categories — it’s necessary to maintain a small fee for sustainability.

While we deeply empathize with the financial challenges filmmakers face worldwide, offering full fee waivers would be unfair to the ones who pay the fee.

We believe the value you receive far outweighs the fee, making it a worthwhile investment in your film’s journey.

Yes! Film Olympiad is one of the few festivals that offers cash prizes, and we strive to increase them every year. We also celebrate excellence across all aspects of filmmaking with awards in 30 categories.
